Ferrell and Black team up for Tag?

Will Ferrell is being linked to Tag Brothers

Will Ferrell and Jack Black could be starring in Tag Brothers.

The comic pair, who previously worked together on Anchorman, are said to be in talks to lead the comedy by New Line, reported The Wrap.

Based on real-life events in Washington and adapted by Mark Steilen, the duo are tipped to play friends whose long-running game of tag soon becomes the subject of national attention. Despite being in their 40s, they still devote every February to play a game of tag which stretches across the country.

Both Will and Jack could also help produce through their production companies - Will's Gary Sanchez and Jack's Electric Dynamite.

Jack, who stars in crime caper Bernie, is next set to reprise his voice as Po the panda in Kung Fu Panda 3, while Will is in the midst of shooting the highly anticipated Anchorman sequel, The Legend Continues, in which he stars as newsreader Ron Burgundy.
