Ferrell to learn Spanish for film
Will Ferrell is to learn Spanish within a month for a new film.
The US funnyman will be starring in Spanish-language comedy Casa De Mi Padre (House Of My Father), which will start shooting in California in September and is funded by Nala (North America Latin America) Films.
Producer Darlene Caamano Loquet said: "Nala can't comment regarding the circumstances surrounding why Will is attached to the project - we are just thrilled he is on board and are moving full steam ahead since we have one month to teach him Spanish."
Will - who next stars in The Other Guys with Eva Mendes and Mark Wahlberg - was embroiled in a pending lawsuit against producer Gary Sanchez, which could have jeopardised his involvement in the film, the statement from Nala said, but both parties came to a resolution after deciding on a closed-door settlement,.
Gary puzzlingly told his leading man: "What comes around, goes around, Will Ferrell."
Director and writer Adam McKay, who previously teamed up with Will in Anchorman, Talledega Nights and The Other Guys, is also attached to the comedy although it is not known what his role is.
