Fiennes film to premiere at Berlin

Ralph Fiennes stars in his directorial debut

Ralph Fiennes' directorial debut will premiere at the Berlin International Film Festival in February.

The Harry Potter actor has helmed a version of the Shakespeare tragedy Coriolanus, in which he also stars.

Vanessa Redgrave and Gerard Butler also star in the film, which was made in Belgrade.

Festival organizers confirmed Coriolanus among the first batch of movies chosen for the official programme and will show out of competition.

Also premiering in Berlin will be Wim Wenders' Pina - a tribute to the late German choreographer Pina Bausch.

Films competing for the festival's top Golden Bear award will include The Future from US filmmaker Miranda July and Yelling To The Sky, a directorial debut from American Victoria Mahoney.

The festival runs from February 10 - 20.
