First look at Paul Rudd as Ant-Man

The first photo of Paul Rudd as Ant-Man has been unveiled.

The Anchorman star has been pictured on location in San Francisco - looking quite a shady character in a hooded sweatshirt and gloves with a plaster on one eyebrow, holding a bag as he stands in front of a van under the Golden Gate Bridge.

Paul will star in the Marvel comic-book movie as conman Scott Lang, who becomes the superhero character by using scientific technology which can shrink him to the size of an ant, and at the same time increases his strength.

Michael Douglas will play Dr Hank Pym, the scientist who discovers the technology, while Evangeline Lilly will play his daughter Hope Pym, who eventually becomes the villainous Red Queen in the comic books.

House Of Cards star Corey Stoll is set to play the villain Darren Cross, also known as Yellowjacket.

Peyton Reed has taken over directing duties on the project after Edgar Wright stepped down from the role over creative issues.

Ant-Man is set for release in July 2015.
