Harrison Ford has reportedly joined the cast of Anchorman 2.
The Indiana Jones star has signed on to play "a legendary newscaster" in the eagerly awaited sequel by Will Ferrell and Adam McKay, following his turn in comedy Morning Glory, said The Hollywood Reporter.
Will, who has also written the screenplay with Adam, is set to reprise his famous role as newsreader Ron Burgundy, while James Marsden has been cast as his nemesis and a rival anchorman in the follow-up.
Kristen Wiig is to play a love interest for Steve Carell's socially-awkward character Brick Tamland.
Paul Rudd, Christina Applegate and David Koechner are on board to reprise their characters from Anchorman: The Legend Continues, which has started shooting in Atlanta.
Harrison's forthcoming films include the Jackie Robinson biopic 42, thriller Paranoia and sci-fi drama Ender's Game.
