Jamie Foxx is launching a production company, No Brainer Films.
The Hollywood star has teamed up with director, producer and writer Deon Taylor to form the label, which will produce mainstream films and TV series that budget at under 10 million dollars.
Initial No Brainer projects will include the TV series Tommy's Little Girl, according to Screen International, a mob drama starring Selma Blair, Paul Sorvino and Tony Sirico.
Jamie and The Hustle director Deon both have their own production companies and they will continue to run them, said Screen International.
No Brainer will be financed by Robert Smith, founder and managing principal of the private equity firm Vista Equity Partners.
Deon's latest film, the horror thriller Chain Letter starring Nikki Reed, will open in cinemas in October. He co-wrote, directed and produced the movie.
Jamie will next be seen in Due Date directed by Todd Phillips. He reunites with Robert Downey Jr, his co-star in The Soloist, in the film.
