David Frankel is set to direct What Alice Forgot

David Frankel is set to direct the film adaptation of What Alice Forgot.

Sony's film label TriStar has picked up the adaptation of the Liane Moriarty novel, the Hollywood Reporter said, and T he Devil Wears Prada and Sex And The City filmmaker is attached to direct.

In the movie, Alice wakes up from a head injury to find she is a single mother of two and divorced from the man she expected to be with forever.

The "young" Alice takes over and embarks on a difficult attempt to get her life back together, The Hollywood Reporter said.

Shauna Cross, who wrote Whip It and the upcoming drama If I Stay, is attached to pen the project.
