Morgan Freeman has admitted he's been kept in the dark about Batman 3.
The Oscar-winning actor is unsure whether he will get to reprise his role as Lucius Fox in Christopher Nolan's third instalment of the superhero franchise, which is set to start shooting next spring.
"Nobody has told me anything - I'm looking forward to it, and I'm hoping like with anything, I'll get a part to play in it," he told Collider.
Morgan isn't surprised by the box office success of Christopher's reboot of the films, which stars Christian Bale as the caped crusader, but hopes it doesn't lose its attraction with a fourth outing.
"No, I wasn't surprised. Batman Begins sort of set the tone," he said.
"It just felt like it was going to come back strong and I think it's going to come back equally strong this time. But my fear is to stop it here, don't let it die with number four. Many films don't last past three."
