French duo team up for film comedy

Jean Dujardin is being lined up to star in a comedy alongside Vincent Cassel

Jean Dujardin is in talks to do a comedy with Vincent Cassel.

The French star, who won the best actor in a comedy/musical at the Golden Globes for his performance in The Artist, will reunite with the film's producer Thomas Langmann for a remake of the 1977 comedy One Wild Moment.

Both French actors are set to play best friends, one of whom falls in love with the other's daughter, the producer confirmed to The Hollywood Reporter.

Stanley Donen's American remake Blame It On Rio, starring Michael Caine and Demi Moore, failed to light up the box office when it was released in 1984.

Jean - who is also up for a Bafta award for his role as silent film star George Valentin - will next appear in comedy Les Infifeles.
