Game of Thrones fans feast your eyes on 24 shiny new stills from the highly-anticipated season 6 - but don't expect to see any pictures of Jon Snow, as unsurprisingly he's not there.

Winter doesn't seem to be coming quick enough for fans of the HBO show as the 24 stills whet the appetite of those waiting to find out the fate from the dramatic cliff-hanger of Season 5 which saw the apparent demise of Snow.

Northern Ireland provides a backdrop for a large part of the HBO show and earlier this year Maisie Williams, who plays Arya Stark was photographed in character in Carnlough Harbour.

The photographs show the 18-year-old star grimacing in the pictures as she tentatively enters the cold water.

Is Jon Snow alive? Kit Harington pictured arriving in Belfast

Game of Thrones star Maisie Williams aka Arya Stark snapped filming in Carnlough Harbour in Northern Ireland

The crew and scuba diver can be spotted close by as fans gathered to watch.

But her sister Sansa appears to be alive following her jump from the walls of Winterfelll.

Meanwhile Tommen Baratheon and Jaime Lannister appear to be dealing with a death

And as to be expected Jon Snow is absent from the images despite fans being sent into meltdown when he appeared on the Season 6 poster and was spotted filming in locations across Northern Ireland.

So the seemingly never-ending speculation on his fate continues...
