Garcia joins Oldman in RoboCop

Aimee Garcia has joined the RoboCop remake as Gary Oldman's assistant.
Director Jose Padilha has just begun filming his reboot of Paul Verhoeven's 1987 cult classic in Toronto with The Killing's Joel Kinnaman in the title role.
The Hollywood Reporter reveals Dexter actress Aimee has just joined the cast as a scientist who helps save cop Alex Murphy by rebuilding him into a cyborg crimefighter, created by Oldman's character
Michael Keaton is playing the film's villain, Raymond Sellars, the CEO of Omnicorp, the corporation that builds RoboCop - a role which Hugh Laurie and Clive Owen were previously attached to.
Samuel L Jackson and Abbie Cornish are also in the futuristic thriller, which is scheduled for release in August 2013.
