Garfield finds solace in 99 Homes

Andrew Garfield is reportedly attached to indie drama 99 Homes.

The Amazing Spider-Man star is to play a "desperate" man, who struggles with his moral conscience after working for the manipulative estate agent that took his repossessed home, said The Hollywood Reporter.

Ramin Bahrani, who directed At Any Price, has written the script and will take the reins on the tense movie.

It's a welcome return to drama for Andrew, who will next reprise his role as the webbed superhero in Marc Webb's Spider-Man sequel.

The 29-year-old, who starred in The Social Network, Never Let Me Go and Boy A, is set to lead Martin Scorsese's film Silence, which he is expected to start shooting in 2014.
