Richard Gere is reportedly set to take over from Al Pacino on the film

Richard Gere is reportedly near a deal to take over from Al Pacino in new film Arbitrage.

The Pretty Woman actor is close to signing on to the Nicholas Jarecki-directed drama, which also stars Eva Green and Susan Sarandon, according to Deadline.

Scarface star Al is no longer attached to the project, about a hedge fund magnate trying to sell off his trading empire.

Shooting is set to begin in New York in April.

Richard recently starred alongside That 70's Show actor Topher Grace in the Michael Brandt-directed spy thriller The Double.
