Ghostbusters returning to cinemas

Ghostbusters is being re-released in cinemas to mark its 30th anniversary.

The movie - starring Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, Sigourney Weaver, Harold Ramis and Rick Moranis - hits the milestone this year, so Sony Pictures Entertainment will celebrate by showing the original 1984 film in cinemas again, reported Entertainment Weekly.

The restored and remastered version of the movie will be in hundreds of US and Canadian cinemas in August.

There will also be special events, collectible merchandise, and a new home-entertainment release.

Another big movie also getting the re-release treatment is Forrest Gump, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The Tom Hanks movie will be re-released in Imax later this year to mark its 20th anniversary.
