Gleeson joins DiCaprio in Revenant

Domhnall Gleeson is in talks to join Leonardo DiCaprio in thriller The Revenant.

The Frank star is said to be in discussions to appear in the big-screen adaptation of Michael Punke's novel, which Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu is directing, reported Variety.

Tom Hardy and Will Poulter have also signed on for the Western, which is expected to start shooting in September.

The Revenant, which has been adapted for the big screen by Alejandro and Mark L Smith, follows an 1820s frontiersman, who swears revenge on those who left him for dead after a bear mauling.

Domhnall, who played Bill Weasley in the Harry Potter film franchise and starred in Richard Curtis' romantic drama About Time, has been filming Star Wars: Episode VII with director JJ Abrams.
