Selena Gomez is set to star in the coming-of-age indie film Parental Guidance Suggested.
The former Disney star and girlfriend of Justin Bieber will star opposite New Year's Eve's Nat Wolff in the comedy about a couple embarking on a "rock 'n' roll-themed odyssey", according to The Hollywood Reporter.
The movie is based on Ric Browde's 2000 novel While I'm Dead... Feed The Dog and will also star Dylan McDermott and Cary Elwes.
Tim Garrick has written the script and will also direct the film.
Meanwhile, Selena scored her first MTV Video Music Awards nomination this week for her Love You Like A Love Song music video.
She told fans on Twitter: "My first MTV VMA Nom :) I am so glad you guys have enjoyed this song and video. Thank You MTV."
