Good, Marsden welcomed to Anchorman

Meagan Good and James Marsden have said any nerves about joining the Anchorman sequel as newbies were quickly put to rest by the welcoming cast.

They play Ron Burgundy's (Will Ferrell) new love interest Linda Jackson and his rival news reader Jack Lime in sequel Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues.

Meagan said: "Initially, it was definitely a little bit nerve-wracking just coming in and knowing that there's this family and this community of people who've done this exact thing before, but it was quickly dismantled.

"As soon as I got to set, everyone was amazing and they really just want you to do well, they were very open armed, open hearted, it was awesome."

James said that he felt there was lots of support in the improv work they did on set.

He said: "I never felt like I couldn't go for it."

Meagan agreed: "The best part of that was there was so much freedom and it was so much fun coming to work. Every day was not like coming to work, it's like come and see what magic happens.

"There were plenty of tumbleweed moments - a few - but that's the amazing thing about it.

"It wasn't that moment where everyone's like, 'Yeah no, that didn't work,' it was like, 'What else you got,' which was cool."
