The director of new comedy Horrible Bosses feared he might be branded the boss from hell.
Seth Gordon admitted: "I was always a little aware that it would be best if I wasn't a horrible boss on set, you know, because that's what I could be called too easily with the title of the film we were working on!"
Speaking at the film's Los Angeles premiere, Gordon said he tried to keep the atmosphere light.
"I tried really hard to have a fun set where everyone could play around," he explained.
The movie stars Jason Sudeikis, Jason Bateman and Charlie Day as a group of friends who decide to kill their bullying employers.
Luckily, Gordon didn't have many problems with a cast he described as a "dream come true".
He said: "These guys just were a dream come true cast, because they're all so funny and they're all so original and they're all so compatible."
