Grammer to join Expendables film
Kelsey Grammer looks set to star in the third Expendables movie.
The former Frasier actor is close to signing a deal to star in the next instalment of Sylvester Stallone's action franchise, reported Deadline.
Kelsey will play an ex-mercenary who helps the Expendables in their mission, a part Nicolas Cage was once linked to.
The 58-year-old actor - who also stars in the upcoming Transformers: Age Of Extinction - joins Sly, Jason Statham, Harrison Ford, Mel Gibson, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Terry Crews, Antonio Banderas, Jet Li, Dolph Lundgren and Wesley Snipes in the film.
The movie, directed by Patrick Hughes, will see Barney Ross (Sly), Lee Christmas (Jason) and the team come face-to-face with "ruthless arms trader" Conrad Stonebanks (Mel), who wants to end the Expendables.
But Barney pulls out all the stops, recruiting individuals who are "younger, faster and more tech-savvy" as "the latest mission becomes a clash of classic old-school style versus high-tech expertise in the Expendables' most personal battle yet".
The Expendables 3 will open in cinemas on August 15, 2014.
