The parents of Northern Ireland's most successful contender on the BBC's Great British Bake Off have spoken of their pride at their son's achievements.

Earlier this week, Andrew Smyth (25), from Holywood, was crowned star baker for the second time in the semi-finals of the popular show.

Nigel Smyth and wife Kay said they credit Andrew's success in the competition to his "keep calm and carry on" attitude in the face of pressure, adding they have been overwhelmed by all the support from Northern Ireland for him.
