Eva Green is said to be in talks to land the female lead in Tim Burton's Dark Shadows.
The former Bond girl is tipped to play Angelique - a powerful witch who has a love-hate relationship with vampire Barnabas Collins, played by Johnny Depp - in Tim's big-screen adaptation of the 1960s supernatural TV series, Deadline reported.
Lara Parker played the part in the original Gothic horror soap.
French-born Eva, who recently starred in Womb opposite Dr Who star Matt Smith, will next be seen in romantic thriller Perfect Sense opposite Ewan McGregor.
Jackie Earle Haley and Bella Heathcoate are also negotiating lead roles in the film, which is scheduled to start filming in April.
