Irish television presenter Gráinne Seoige will link up with Christine Bleakley on GMTV’s new 'Daybreak' team.

Last month it was reported that the RTE star, who recently separated from husband Stephen Cullinane, was seen as a serious rival to Ulster lass Christine for the presenting job.

But Christine got the plum role, and Dublin girl Grainne will be the new Features Editor of the morning show. Ms Seoige will be joined in the line-up by Entertainment Editor Kate Garraway, Health Editor Dr Hilary Jones, Chief Correspondent Richard Gaisford, Special Correspondent John Stapleton and Entertainment Correspondent Steve Hargreave.

The show, which is due to be hosted by Adrian Chiles and Christine Bleakley, will kick off on ITV in September, in place of 'GMTV'.

Director of factual, daytime and 'GMTV', Alison Sharman said: “'Daybreak' plays a key part in ITV's ongoing transformation and reflects the fact that creative renewal lies at the heart of our schedule, which is being modernised and improved under Peter Fincham.”

No matter how stringently your loved ones warn you, that won't stop you pursuing a romantic interest. You're utterly captivated by someone who exudes warmth, charisma and drama. If you're not able to provide them with the luxuries they crave, there will be problems. Then again, you have the potential for being a good provider, so all may be well.More
