Maggie Gyllenhaal is reportedly set to star alongside Michael Fassbender in ensemble comedy Frank.
The film, which is due to start shooting in New Mexico in a few weeks, already boasts a cast that includes Fassbender, Anna Karenina's Domhnall Gleeson and Argo's Scoot McNairy.
Now The Film Stage reports that The Dark Knight star is also on board.
Written by Men Who Stare At Goats' Jon Ronson and Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy's Peter Straughan, and directed by Lenny Abrahamson, the movie follows an aspiring musician, played by Gleeson, who joins an eccentric rock band, helmed by a mysterious lead singer, played by Fassbender.
The film is reportedly partly based on the antics of cult musician Chris Sievey, who began his career as frontman of punk group The Freshies before becoming famous for his papier-mache comic persona, Frank Sidebottom.
