Jon Hamm has signed up to star in inspirational Disney baseball movie The Million Dollar Arm.
The Mad Men actor - known for playing ladies man Don Draper in the hit TV show - will star as US sports agent JB Bernstein in the film, The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed.
The Million Dollar Arm tells the true story of how Bernstein turned two Indian cricket players, Dinesh Patel and Rinku Singh, into major league baseball stars by creating a reality TV show aimed at finding a person who could throw a baseball the fastest.
After discovering the two 19-year-olds, Bernstein brought them back to America, where he had to teach them English, the ways of American culture and of course the rules of baseball.
The rag-to-riches story was written for the big screen by Tom McCarthy and Mitch Glazer and currently has no director attached.
Heartthrob Hamm played a scene-stealing role in Oscar-nominated comedy Bridesmaids and next appears in his girlfriend Jennifer Westfeldt's new movie Friends With Kids.
