Hardy, Rapace to take Child 44

Tom Hardy could be teaming up with Noomi Rapace again

Tom Hardy and Noomi Rapace may reunite to star in Child 44.

The pair, who are also sharing screen time in Michael Roskam's film of Animal Rescue, are in talks to work together in the big-screen adaptation of Tom Rob Smith's book, reported Heat Vision blog.

Safe House director Daniel Espinosa is set to take control of the story, which is set in the 50s and focuses on a Russian security officer who finds himself demoted and exiled while investigating a string of murders.

Tom is tipped to play the Soviet officer while Noomi is eyeing the role of his mysterious wife.

Filming is scheduled to begin in May in Budapest, after the pair finish working on Animal Rescue.
