Tom Hardy is set to lead the real-time thriller, Locke.
The Dark Knight Rises star has apparently signed on for Steven Knight's 90-minute film, which would follow a successful man who has to "race to save his life from unravelling after receiving a mysterious phone call", reported Screen Daily.
Steven, the writer of Eastern Promises, has penned Locke, which he will also direct.
Filming on the thriller, which is in a similar vein to Phone Booth starring Colin Farrell, will begin later this month in London.
Tom, who will next be seen in Mad Max: Fury Road with Charlize Theron, is attached to co-star with Noomi Rapace in both Child 44 and a forthcoming big-screen adaptation of Dennis Lehane's Animal Rescue.
