Harris joins Boyle's Frankenstein
Naomie Harris has joined the cast of Danny Boyle's play, Frankenstein.
The Pirates Of The Caribbean actress, who previously worked with the director in 28 Days Later, will play orphan Elizabeth Lavenza in the National Theatre production, alongside Benedict Cumberbatch and Jonny Lee Miller's alternating role as Victor Frankenstein and The Creature.
The Oscar-winning Slumdog Millionaire filmmaker will helm the play, which has been adapted by Nick Dear and based on the best-selling classic novel by Mary Shelley.
Dance group Underworld, whose hit Born Slippy played an iconic part of Danny's film Trainspotting, will be composing the music.
Danny, who is winning acclaim for his latest film 127 Hours, directed plays at the Royal Court and the Royal Shakespeare Company early on in his career but Frankenstein will be his National Theatre debut.
The production runs at the Olivier Theatre at the National in London from February 5 to April 17.
