Harrison Ford to join Ender's Game?
Harrison Ford is apparently in talks to star in new sci-fi thriller Ender's Game.
Hugo star Asa Butterfield has been confirmed to star as the title character Andrew 'Ender' Wiggin, in the film about a bullied young boy who turns out to be a master military strategist, Variety reports.
Talks with Viggo Mortensen to play the adult lead of Colonel Hyrum Graff, the commander of training for the International Fleet, an elite boys' military academy, are said to have broken down. Now producers have reportedly approached several actors, including Harrison.
Gavin Hood is directing the big-screen adaptation of the classic sci-fi novel by Orson Scott Card.
Gavin, whose previous credits include the Oscar-winning Tsotsi and action thriller X-Men Origins: Wolverine, has been on board the film since earlier this year, alongside Star Trek writers Roberto Orci and Alex Kurtzman, who are producing.
Asa, 14, made his name in holocaust drama The Boy in Striped Pyjamas and is currently starring in Martin Scorsese's 3D adventure Hugo alongside Chloe Moretz, Sir Ben Kingsley and Jude Law.
Ender's Game is set for a release in spring 2013.
