Hearing delayed for Quaid appeal
Randy Quaid's application for refugee status in Canada remains in limbo after an immigration hearing to determine the actor's admissibility in the country was postponed.
Lawyer Catherine Sas told the immigration adjudicator she needed more time to go through the many documents involved in her client's case.
The case has been postponed to November 23.
Quaid and his wife were arrested in Vancouver, British Columbia, last month on outstanding US warrants related to vandalism charges.
The Quaids are wanted in Santa Barbara, California, where they missed a court hearing last week.
During the couple's first immigration hearing following their arrest, they requested refugee status based on their belief that they were being persecuted by "Hollywood star whackers" and that their lives were in danger.
