Helen Hunt is set to take on a role in indie comedy drama Decoding Annie Parker.
The As Good As It Gets star is tipped to play the titular lead character of a breast cancer patient in Steven Bernstein's directorial debut, reported Variety.
The true-life story, which also stars Aaron Paul and Maggie Grace, follows the "irrepressible" survivor, who "stops at nothing to solve the mystery behind her illness, despite the beliefs of the medical establishment".
Co-written by Steven and Adam Bernstein, filming is set to begin later this month in Los Angeles.
Helen, best known for her performances in Twister, Cast Away and As Good As It Gets, was last seen in shark survivor drama Soul Surfer.
