Dame Helen Mirren may have got her hands on some rather powerful weapons in Red - but she has admitted to being afraid of them.
The Oscar-winning star plays ex-CIA agent Victoria Winslow in the action adventure, which involved getting to use some big guns.
"It's rather frightening actually, because you realise how dangerous they are, but at the same time, it's very exciting - there's something very exciting about guns," she said at the London premiere of the film, which also stars Bruce Willis, Morgan Freeman and John Malkovich.
Helen said she found the whole process of being an action star thrilling.
"It feels great. I never expected this would come my way. I always wanted to be in a movie like this and thought, 'Why don't they ask me? Why am I always in corsets and have to do long speeches?'" she continued.
"I was amazed that they asked me, and very excited. And on top of that, it's a Bruce Willis movie so it's fabulous."
She added: "The best thing about doing it was I've never done a movie like this before so understanding how these movies are made, how they are constructed, how these action scenes are put together technically was really interesting, so I loved that."
:: Red opens in cinemas on October 22.
