Helms cast in Captain Underpants

Ed Helms will star in Captain Underpants

Ed Helms has been cast in DreamWorks Animation's movie about Y-fronted superhero Captain Underpants.

Kevin Hart, Nick Kroll, Jordan Peele and Thomas Middleditch will also lend their vocal talents to the big screen adaptation of Dav Pilkey's popular children's book series, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The stories follow two mischievous school boys (to be voiced by Kevin and Thomas) whose favourite superhero, Captain Underpants, comes to life from the pages of a comic book.

Ed will voice their headmaster Mr Krupp, while Jordan will play their "geeky nemesis". Nick will star as a villain called Professor Poopypants.

Director Rob Letterman said: "These actors are some of the funniest around today. Letting them loose with these characters is sure to be a hysterical ride."

Several books featuring Captain Underpants have been published since 1997. The movie has apparently been in the pipeline for some time, following reports in 2011 that DreamWorks Animation had acquired the rights to make an animated feature.

When in doubt, talk to a trusted friend. They'll give you an honest assessment of this bond. A relative may ask to come to their rescue. Fortunately, you have the necessary resources to bail them out.More
