Helms nabs lead in Le Mac remake
Ed Helms is apparently set to star in the remake of French comedy Le Mac.
The Hangover actor, who tends to be cast in supporting roles, has been offered the lead part in the new adaptation of the 2010 film, directed by Pascal Bourdeaux, reports Variety.
Ed, who will also produce alongside Ben Stiller's Red Hour Films, will play a mild-mannered banker who has to pretend to be a notorious gangster and pimp, in a role played originally by Jose Garcia.
The 37-year-old - best known for his turns as Dr Stu Price in The Hangover films and as Andy Bernard in the US version of The Office - will next be seen in The Muppets movie, comedy Jeff Who Lives At Home alongside Jason Segel and will lend his voice to 3D animation The Lorax.
