Chris Hemsworth has reportedly been offered a multi-million pound deal to star in American Assassin.
Deadline reports the star of Thor and Snow White And The Hunstman has been offered 10 million dollars by CBS films to play terrorist hunter Mitch Rapp in the film based on Vince Flynn's bestselling novel series.
The film has been in production since 2008 and could be the beginning of a movie franchise to rival the Bourne and Bond series.
American Assassin is the 11th book in the series but is a prequel which explains how tragedy propelled Rapp from a college jock to a ruthless hunter working for the CIA.
Bruce Willis is said to be in talks to play Rapp's mentor and the film will be directed by Homeland's Jeffrey Nachmanoff.
Chris is busy working on the Thor sequel and is signed up to a Snow White And The Huntsman sequel as well as Steven Spielberg's Robopocalypse, with Anne Hathaway.
