Hemsworth: Mockingjay kept me busy
Liam Hemsworth has admitted he relished the chance to get more physical in The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1.
The Australian hunk plays Gale Hawthorne, the best friend of Jennifer Lawrence's character Katniss in the action series, who is now a soldier, and Liam admitted his character really comes into his own in the latest instalment of the movie.
He said: " I had quite a bit of physical stuff to do in this. There was quite a lot tactical training, learning how to clear rooms like a tactical soldier, and repel off things."
Liam added: "It was great, it was good to have a little bit more to do in this one. You get to see a different side of Gale in there, a slightly more vulnerable side at one point. And you really get to see how the relationship between Gale and Katniss has changed, the separation between the two."
In the last film, Catching Fire, Katniss was caught in a love triangle between Gale and Peeta Mellark.
But Josh Hutcherson, who plays Peeta, revealed he thinks the love triangle has been broken up in Mockingjay.
Josh said: "I think in the third movie, it becomes a lot bigger than a love triangle, it becomes about the real weight of the war.
"And Peeta when he comes back, Katniss kind of writes him off because she sees that he's betrayed the people of [District] 13 by becoming an advocate for the Capital, not knowing he's been tortured.
"So it's really rocky, and really a lot more complicated, but not between the three of us, just because the circumstances do that to the relationship."
The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1 is released in cinemas on November 21.
