Hemsworth to produce, star in film

Chris Hemsworth is heading behind the cameras to make a film about a man who is haunted by country star Hank Williams.

The Rush actor has optioned the rights to Steve Earle's book I'll Never Get Out Of This World Alive, so that he can produce the film version.

Aussie Chris, 31, will also star in the movie, reported The Wrap.

The tale is centred on Toby "Doc" Ebersole, a doctor who is haunted by Williams' ghost following his involvement in the country singer's death in 1953.

Years later he has been struck off and carries out illegal medical procedures to raise money for morphine.

Benjamin Grayson adapted the book for the big screen and will be making his directing debut with the movie, while Laura Bickford will also be a producer.

Chris' other upcoming films include action thriller Blackhat, comedy Vacation and Avengers movie Age Of Ultron.
