Christina Hendricks has revealed that she is "looking forward" to shooting Ryan Gosling's directorial debut, How To Catch A Monster.
The 37-year-old, best known as Mad Men's Joan Holloway, is starring in the "modern-day fairytale" alongside Saoirse Ronan, Eva Mendes and Matt Smith, which she will start filming once she has wrapped the sixth series of the hit TV show.
"I haven't started shooting it yet. We are going to wait until we finish up this season of Mad Men so I'll start in May," she said.
Christina has already laid some foundations with the first-time director and her Drive co-star.
"I've already managed to do some time in rehearsal and work with Ryan, who is passionate and wonderful and smart. And I'm really looking forward to getting to Detroit to start," she added.
How To Catch A Monster, which Ryan also wrote, is about a single mother - played by Christina - swept into a dark fantasy underworld while her son finds a road leading to an underwater town.
