Hilton 'to pay back film investors'
Friday, 3 September 2010
A judge in Miami has ruled that the 29-year-old celebrity socialite didn't live up to her contract to promote the film when she refused to do interviews with publications in Russia and the United Kingdom.
The judge preliminarily valued those lost opportunities at 160,000 dollars, but has asked to see more information about her contract before finalising the amount. The investors initially wanted 8.3 million dollars.
The judge's decision follows Paris' arrest last weekend in Las Vegas on cocaine possession charges. Paris told police the small amount of cocaine was not hers.
Paris' spokeswoman had no immediate comment.
