Ciaran Hinds could soon be donning some devil horns for the Ghost Rider sequel.
The Irish star is in talks to play the devil in Ghost Rider: Spirit Of Vengeance, where he will come face to face with demonic biker Johnny Blaze (Nicolas Cage), Heat Vision reports.
Italian actress-singer Violante Placido is also negotiating to join the cast, where she would play a mother who tries to protect her son from being consumed by the devil.
Directed by Mark Neveldine and Brian Taylor, who also wrote the script, the follow-up to the 2007 film, based on the Marvel comic, sees Nicolas' alter-ego hiding out in remote Eastern Europe and struggling to repress his curse, but he's persuaded to return to society after he is recruited by a sect to take on the devil.
Filmmakers are hoping for a late-November start, with shooting scheduled for Romania and Turkey.
