Hoffman Going In Style with Caine

Dustin Hoffman is in talks to join Morgan Freeman and Sir Michael Caine in the comedy remake, Going In Style.

The two-time Oscar-winning actor could be starring in New Line's adaptation of the 1979 George Burns heist caper, according to Variety.

Variety also reported that Zach Braff is being considered to replace Ted Melfi as the film's director, although discussions have yet to take place.

The remake is scheduled to start shooting next spring.

George, Art Carney and Lee Strasberg starred in the original 1979 version as three retired and bored Brooklyn senior citizens who decide to rob a bank. They become famous after pulling off the caper wearing Groucho Marx disguises.

Dustin, who appeared in Jon Favreau's culinary drama Chef, will next be seen opposite Dame Judi Dench in the BBC One adaptation of Roald Dahl's Esio Trot. He will also reprise his voice role as Master Shifu in Kung Fu Panda 3.
