Hollywood revisits The Quiet Man
Sixty years after the filming of the most famous Irish movie of all time, Hollywood is returning to Connemara.
A new movie, based around the filming of the Oscar-winning classic The Quiet Man will be shot in Cong, on the Galway-Mayo border in the summer.
A romantic comedy, Connemara Days, will see the return to the big screen for the first time in almost 10 years of Roger Moore, who will also be executive producer.
Also lined up for the project are actors Aidan Quinn (Legends Of The Fall) and Geraldine Chaplin (The Wolfman). Stacy Keach (Escape From LA) will play legendary film director John Ford.
