Hough, Brand film trailer unveiled

Julianne Hough and Russell Brand show off their comedy chops in the first trailer for their new film Paradise.

The pair co-star in the comedy about a conservative young girl (Julianne) who experiences a crisis of faith after surviving a plane crash, with Russell as a barman who helps her discover her wild side.

The first trailer for the film - which marks the directorial debut of Juno writer Diablo Cody - shows Julianne's character Lamb declaring that she was "barbecued in jet fuel" in the crash.

She heads off to Las Vegas on a mission to "experience worldly pleasures for the first time" and gets friendly with bartender William (Russell) and a woman named Loray, who is played by Octavia Spencer.

Nick Offerman and Holly Hunter also star in Paradise, playing Lamb's parents.

The movie opens in the US in October.
