Nicholas Hoult is reportedly in talks to star in futuristic thriller Young Ones.
The former Skins actor, who currently stars in zombie romance Warm Bodies, apparently looks set to appear in Jake Paltrow's upcoming movie, reported Variety.
Elle Fanning, Kodi Smit-McPhee and Michael Shannon are also in negotiations to join the cast.
The film, which has also been written by Jake, centres on a 14-year-old boy who is forced to use his survival instincts in a "violent near-future where water has become the most precious - and fastest dwindling - resource on the planet".
Production has already begun in South Africa's Northern Cape desert.
Nicholas - who will reprise his role in the X-Men sequel, Days Of Future Past - will next be seen in Jack The Giant Slayer opposite Ewan McGregor and Ian McShane, before George Miller's Mad Max: Fury Road.
