Hunnam and Robbie for crash tale

Charlie Hunnam is apparently the top choice for upcoming plane crash film The Mountain Between Us.

The Sons Of Anarchy actor isn't officially on board the survival tale but talks have started, reported Deadline.

The Wolf Of Wall Street's Margot Robbie is negotiating for the female lead.

While Charlie and Margot have yet to officially sign up, the Hollywood Reporter said they are the frontrunners.

The pair would play strangers who end up stranded in the mountains together when the plane they charter crashes. They are forced to battle the elements and start to fall for each other as they struggle to survive.

The film adaptation of Charles Martin's book has been in the pipeline for some time and two years ago Michael Fassbender was linked to the part which could now go to Charlie.

The Mountain Between Us will be directed by Hany Abu-Assad.
