TV stalwart Sir Bruce Forsyth has admitted he does not miss presenting Strictly Come Dancing.

When asked if he missed TV work and hosting Strictly, he said: "I do miss the telly in a way... but I don't miss doing Strictly because it was never the show that I thought it would be.

"I thought it'd be a comedy show - me getting amongst the contestants and me showing them how to dance and them all falling over, it was a different show. It's a great show and I love it from a point of view that I envy dancers having the energy that they have and knowing that I used to do all that kind of thing."

Sir Bruce is currently promoting his newest venture which is a one-man show at the London Palladium.
