Iain: Gosling so down-to-earth

Iain De Caestecker has said Ryan Gosling was a very relaxed director.

The Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. star has worked with Ryan on his directorial debut Lost River, which was filmed last year in Detroit.

Iain, 26, revealed: "That was great; one of the best experiences I've ever had. He's just a very down-to-earth person who really loves film, and that's an infectious thing to be around.

"It was a really free set; Ryan made sure we felt like we were a big part of the process of making the movie. He's someone who I've really looked up to, so to work with him every day and try out things with him, I definitely learned a lot. A fantastic experience."

The Scottish actor also revealed: " I play a character called Bones; he's part of a small family. Christina Hendricks plays the mother, and I've got a younger brother. The story centres on this young family and some other characters; there's a girl next door. There's part of it for my character where it's a coming-of-age story, but it's about how everyone has a monster which they're facing in their life for different reasons. It's kind of an urban fantasy."

Iain stars in In Fear, out now on DVD and Blu-ray.
