Inbetweeners enjoy life Down Under

The Inbetweeners 2 will please the show's fans, the series' creators have promised.

Stars Simon Bird (Will McKenzie), Blake Harrison (Neil Sutherland), Joe Thomas (Simon Cooper) and James Buckley (Jay Cartwright) reprise their roles in the comedy sequel.

The trailer for The Inbetweeners 2, filled with smutty jokes and partial nudity, sees the group heading Down Under to join their friend Jay on a road trip around Australia during his gap year.

"As you know, I'm on a mental gap year in Australia," said Jay, before later declaring: "Australia is the sex capital of the world!"

Iain Morris and Damon Beesley, who created the series and wrote and directed the films, said: "We're excited to offer a little taste of what's to come when we release The Inbetweeners 2 on August 6. We're especially happy with the trailer as we think it's funny and - we promise - none of the best jokes are in it. None.

"We did that so that hopefully you'll still get surprised in the cinema, and enjoy the film even more," they added.

The sequel, which will be released in cinemas on August 6, also stars Emily Berrington, Freddie Stroma and David Field.

It is the second big-screen outing for the Inbetweeners, following the show's end on E4 in 2010 and the first spin-off film in 2011.
