Independence Day 2 release date set

Independence Day 2 has finally got a release date for July 3, 2015, according to 20th Century Fox.

The sequel will be directed and produced by Roland Emmerich again but so far none of the original cast, including Will Smith, have been confirmed to return according to The Hollywood Reporter.

20th Century Fox also announced that they will be releasing a new Tim Burton film in 2015, Peregrine's Home For Peculiars, which is based on the Ransom Riggs novel Miss Peregrine's Home For Peculiar Children.

X-Men: Days Of Future Past has been moved forward by Fox from July 2014 to May next year and welcomes back previous cast including Hugh Jackman, Ian McKellan, Anna Paquin, Michael Fassbender and Jennifer Lawrence.

Dawn Of The Planet Of The Apes shifts in the opposite direction from May 2014 to July and will star Gary Oldman and Andy Serkis.

Planes sequel, Planes: Fire And Rescue, is also due out in May 2014, while video game based Assassin's Creed and Pixar's Inside Out get the same release date as each other - June 19, 2015.
