James Franco signs up for The Fixer
James Franco has signed up for indie drama The Fixer.
The movie is being directed by Ian Olds and is inspired by "fixers" - people who foreign journalists hire to facilitate and translate their stories - and will follow Afghan reporter Osman, who is exiled from his war-torn country to California.
The role of Osman has yet to be cast, but The Wrap reported that James will play one of the leads, an "unstable hot-tub craftsman named Lindsay, who is at the crux of Osman's journey".
Production is due to start in July.
Olds directed the 2009 documentary Fixer: The Taking Of Ajmal Naqshbandi.
