Kevin James has confessed shooting his latest film Zookeeper gave him some new and unusual experiences.
"I had to shampoo a wolf," he told reporters at the film's Los Angeles premiere. "I've never done that before."
Kevin stars alongside a mix of real and animatronic animals in the comedy, which also stars Rosario Dawson and features the voices of Cher, Jon Favreau and Adam Sandler.
The Grown Ups actor admitted he did have one or two hairy moments when shooting the shampooing scene.
"I was a little nervous about it," he said. "He did turn around and look at me once and I was like 'woah' - you've got to be careful."
He jokingly continued: "But he was awesome. I got to know him then, and we hung out, and I'm friends with a wolf now."
The film, which is released in the UK later this month, sees zoo animals break their code of silence and reveal they can talk in order to help Kevin's character Griffin find love.
